S'Up is a free iPhone app for making new friends through shared events in your city, without dating or swiping. You see what's on and who's going, say you're in and make plans with friends. There's also a feed, a calendar and BOB.
It depends on how you want to meet people. Bumble For Friends suits you if you want to meet individual people, Meetup if you're after regular groups around a topic. S'Up is for people who'd rather do things together: you see what's on in your city and go with others. You'll find a detailed comparison at s-up.social/en/freunde-finden.
No. There's no swiping, no matches and no profiles to rate. S'Up is about events: private plans with friends and public events in your city. You meet new people because you're going to the same thing.
In S'Up you create an event for it: place, time, invites. Every event has its own chat with only the people who are coming, and everyone can see at a glance who's in. You split costs with SplitBob, no extra app needed.
S'Up launches on iPhone in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You can plan private events with friends anywhere. How many public events you see in Discover depends on your city. We started in Konstanz.
The public App Store launch is planned for late October to mid-November 2026, for iPhone in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The first beta round is full. Join the waitlist now and we'll email you at launch.
For you, nothing: no in-app purchases, no banner ads. Paid features are only for event organizers. That finances the rest.
iPhone only at the moment. Android isn't in the plans. If that changes, we'll let you know.
Finding friends through your address book is currently switched off, and we don't receive any numbers from your address book. When you invite someone to an event, you can allow the app to show you your contacts to choose from. You then invite those contacts yourself through your iPhone's share menu. Your app data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt), and we don't sell data.
Mainly 18- to 30-year-olds in Germany, Austria and Switzerland: students, career starters, exchange students, anyone who doesn't want to live online only. You can join from age 16. Event organizers get their own dashboard.

You create your events in the business dashboard. They appear in the app under Discover. The app is mainly for 18- to 30-year-olds. You'll find everything else at s-up.social/en/for-business.
Louis Lazay and Sander Jay Behrens. They met in Konstanz and have been working on S'Up since autumn 2025. They build the app with their company AUGH UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Böblingen.
