S'Up just went live. We're building the app that brings people out of the feed and back into real encounters. Here's everything you need for a story.
We're happy to help with background, numbers or interview slots. Just drop us a line — we reply within 48 hours.
According to the Bertelsmann study "How lonely are young adults in 2024?", 46% of 16- to 30-year-olds in Germany feel lonely (35% moderately, around 10% severely). The 2024 Loneliness Barometer from the German Family Ministry shows the trend behind it: in 2020 the loneliness burden among 18- to 29-year-olds jumped to 31.8% — for the first time, young adults were more affected than people over 75. S'Up isn't building yet another feed, but the tool that brings people back together.
While TikTok and Instagram grab more and more time per user, real-life time with friends goes down. S'Up flips that around — no feed mechanics, no likes, just planning tools for real meetups.
Louis (HTWG Konstanz) and Sander (University of Konstanz) are building S'Up alongside their studies — bootstrapped, no VC, with a clear connection to Lake Constance as a test market for DACH expansion.
